Meu Pai (My Dad)
There was once a man
His name was Moacy
I called him "pai"*
And, he loved me.
There was a man who talked about Jesus
Every chance he had
He loved his Lord so much
And, about his Savior he shared.
There was a man who told jokes
They were not much more than five
Still, I was amused
Not really at the jokes
But as the teller told every time.
There was a strong little man
Who, than most, worked harder
In his character it was
That he was a husband and a father.
There was a man who enjoyed singing
And that he did well
Right before leaving this earth
He sang about a party in "céu"*.
There was once a man
His name was Moacy
He was a pastor and a woodworker
And, he was a daddy to me.
